Astro C.G.M. Finale Lee Soo Wei and New fans from Brunei (pictures!)

Well, lookie what we've got here.

These were taken on the night of the Astro Classic Golden Melody Singing Competition 2009 finale when Julie 周蕊丽 took the 1st prize for the competition. The audience consisted of Malaysians from all over the country including those from Penang (you guys rock!) Sabah and even Sarawak!

In the audience there were also a group of ladies from Brunei. They initially went as fans of the hosts: Yan Yan and sister (I'm sorry I am not good with Chinese so I can't remember the name, a thousand apologies) and left as new fans of Soo Wei (I heard from someone who was there lar).

Since they came from another country, they got to get on stage to take photos with the contestants! Picture pile coming up! They even brought their own banner!

the 2nd runner up: 李惠芳 in gold and 1st prize winner 周蕊丽 in blue, as well as fans from Brunei.

It's the least I could do for your flocking around 李斯伟 and giving him special treatment (as if he took the gold home lol). I guess that's what he meant when he said that he has no regrets so long as he has the support of his fans.

Astro C.G.M. Singing Competition 2009 (Spoilers)

Last night was the ending of how I have been spending my Saturday nights. But we aren't here to talk about my boring life after having a kid (just kidding, there is not a second of my current life that I can call boring), we are here to talk about nuclear fission.

Okay, this is about as far as I can keep you suspended enough to click this link first before allowing you to proceed.

Okay, second place wasn't bad but sometimes when you've tried so hard and gone so far, and no to mention lost so much weight, to fumble at the final stages is a terrible feeling. To fumble at the expense of someone else's mistake adds to the level of terribleness.

BUT let's not start pointing fingers.

Instead, let's hope that the curse of the American Idol show becomes true in this sense: that the one who always takes the crown doesn't necessarily need the title to actually succeed in showbiz.

He's halfway there. We're giving him a place for his fans to get in touch with him, ala Facebook. Now if only I know how to go about this ...

Then, all hell breaks loose.

Astro Singing Competition for Seniors

The Astro CGM Singing Compeittion 2009

Every year there is an annual Astro Singing competition for seniors known as the Classic Golden Melody Singing Competition or Astro CGM for short. For the year 2009, I am particularly interested in this competition because of one thing.

Me uncle's in it. Me dad's youngest brother.

I'm number M13. Appreciate your support, ladies.

Lee Soo Wei, 46, from Penang. Single and available. The guy with the ridiculous white hat that surprisingly is turning out to be his trademark signature. They call him the White Hat Prince, according to mom. No comments on that.

I'm not one to brag but he's good. Don't believe me? We got video. I really hope you enjoy his singing. The finals will be on May 23rd, whilst I am in confinement but I will be supporting him from home, via Astro.

To think that he sang at my wedding. hehe.. how cool is that?
